Faces2Hearts in Jamaica: Small farmers unite with the AIBGA and EU!

29 / 02 / 20

Today we are going under the skin of the Jamaica Banana Industry, specifically focusing on small farmers and banana growers, united by the All Islands Banana Growers Association which collectively brings together some 2000 banana growers island wides.

Through European Union development funds, the AIBGA was able to move from a financially struggling collective, to a sustainable, strong group of representatives, now running without external support. Through the development of additional farm stores which provide tools and supplies at affordable prices, to ripening rooms that increase products value, and a value added facility to convert the crop into additional products, the AIBGA has gone from strength to strength.
