Peace On The Road

14 / 04 / 20

Most people in Myanmar just want to live in their country at peace. In Kachin State, northern Myanmar, in the midst of violence and conflict, more than 100.000 people were forced to leave their homes. Today, they live internally displaced.

The Durable Peace Programme (DPP), funded by the EU, brings local communities and organizations together to build peace that has the potential to last. DPP focuses on four key areas: supporting people to return home with dignity and safety; peace education for young people; livelihood support; and women empowerment in the peace process.
