Sierra Leone Agriculture: Boosting Food Security

16 / 04 / 20

Sierra Leone Agriculture is one of the main industries from the country, becoming a national priority through numerous policies.

Boosting Agriculture and Food Security, or BAFS, is an EU funded project which aims to strength Sierra Leone agriculture security to ensure an independent production.

Kirstie and Esteban visit a maize farm in Mile 91 (Northern provinces), infested by Boimoneh, the local word for the Fall Army Worm pest.

Here, in the field, can learn how the locals ensure agricultural productivity, throughout tools provided by the EU or even their own methods.
