Sierra Leone Energy: Improving Renewable Energy Access
Energy is one of the main sectors that needs to be developed in Sierra Leone, especially in remote areas. PRESSD-SL (Promoting Renewable Energy Services for Social Development in Sierra Leone) is improving energy access in an affordable and sustainable way. This EU funded project is contributing to poverty alleviation through renewable energy services while promoting low-carbon development.
In this video, Kirstie and Esteban visit some remote areas around the Kenema & Kailahun Districts in the East to find out more about how solar energy has improved economic revenues & living conditions for entrepreneurs, students and healthcare workers in the community.
