Faces2Hearts in THE GAMBIA: Scaling up women’s economic gains through gardening

In the remote communities of The Gambia jobs are scarce and women usually end up with no work outside of the rainy season which is the moment for farming. But thanks to the support of UNCDF, the European Commission is able to allocate funds to help the local communities build community gardens, where women will not only benefit from the goods they sell, but will for the first time get paid on a daily rate while working there.
