Faces2Hearts in THE GAMBIA: Women build roads to create access for communities
Women in Rural Gambia are usually more concerned about their farms and making ends meet through agriculture. However, UNOPS is implementing a Feeder roads project to enable access for vulnerable communities in the rural areas, and the project is focused on employing more women to take part in the labour based intensive work. This creates income for them, while at the same time giving them the opportunity to learn a trade.
